There are a lot of bad people out there who would only use this for personal gain. It would also expose vulnerabilities and make it easier for hackers to steal money.

security thru obscurity is known to be absurd. All software in the world must be Free Software. Proprietary software is a crime :-)

This is a good idea. I would gladly contribute to or admin for the repo. Security shouldn't be the issue because the only secure data (emails, passwords, payment info) should be handled by third-party SoSs. If they're not, Ryan is already putting your data at risk by neglecting to keep his security software up to date.
