I watched a game where someone went all-in. He wins. But although nobody raised afterwards, there is still a side pot???

------ Starting Hand -------
Dealing pocket cards: [7d, 8d]
mobi calls
Hutch calls
Dave calls
marvin raises $8300
Rothko calls
KingP folds
mobi folds
Hutch calls
Dave folds
Dealing flop: [3c, Qc, 7c]
Rothko checks
mobi sits out
mobi sits in
Hutch checks
Dealing turn: [Ac]
Rothko checks
Hutch checks
Dealing river: [9s]
Rothko checks
Hutch checks
marvin shows a flush Ace high
Rothko shows a pair of fives
Hutch shows two pair, Queens and nines
marvin wins main pot 24900
Hutch wins side pot 600
------ Starting Hand -------

(on the retrochronix Table)

well, 3 people called the $200 blind before marvin went all-in. There's your $600. Don't ask me how that became the side-pot, though.

Looks like a bug. I've never seen this happen before.

Here is another one where tsantilk goes all in, seen on the Enrique Table (25/50):

------ Starting Hand -------
tsantilk raises $700
handjive calls
Ip calls
Robbie folds
Dealing flop: [7c, Ts, 8c]
Ip checks
Old Man sits in
handjive sits out
handjive checks
Dealing turn: [2h]
Ip checks
handjive checks
Dealing river: [Td]
Ip checks
handjive checks
Ip shows a pair of tens
tsantilk shows three tens
handjive shows a pair of tens
tsantilk wins main pot 2100
handjive wins side pot 50
------ Starting Hand -------

So it looks like the money of those who folded is put in the side pot.

I've noticed this fairly consistantly: whenever someone goes all in, they are excluded from winning an ammount exactly equal to the big blind, which goes as a side pot to the runner up. Weird, no? (Ah, could this be a generalization of the "can't win if the big blind puts you all in" bug?)
