Why the lag?

I don't know if it's screwed anyone else over but the terrible lag has screwed me more than once here. I'm not trying to complain as much as I'm trying to find out why.

at 5:40 AM, Thursday January 31, 2008 EST I lagged out having just bet $5000 with AA, there was an 11k + pot, i was called and timed out very frustrating. Apenitas, my opponent in the pot offered me the chips back (very kind), but I declined as it was not his fault.

Ever since I lost 150K because of a lag on a hand that I would have split the pot... (not to mention the only 150K I had) I've been bitter. Thanks when it gets better I'l be back
