My view on Gpokr so far.

I haven't played on this site for long, on and off for a few months, but there are some things were I find ridiculous.

First off, yes I do refill lots of times and people often go on about that, tell me how i'm such a bad player, bla bla, you get the point. Why do I have all these refills? Two reasons:

- With multiple accounts (two of which are members - i'm paying to keep this game running), the 10 minute refill rule is mostly unforced.

- It is impossible to play poker in the 25/50 blinded tables. You cannot bluff, it is almost impossible and also, the amount of bad beats, underdog winners and running cards that people hit.

Another thing is the amount of abuse that is given if you win a hand from the other player, if the bad language didn't show, the chatboxes would be empty. Why is this? Is this game full with immature players or is it just because they have experienced the classic Gpokr bad beat.

If you go all in at the 25/50 tables, then I get abused for that. "You don't know how to play poker" "You suck" "Your an idiot". Well i'm not going to get on the leaderboard playing for 50 chips.

Ever wondered why it's the same people at the top EVERY month?

- Newer/Unknown/Normal players cannot realistically challenge for the top ranks without an immense amount of luck. If a top player gets cleaned out, then their mate will always lend them 200k to get started again, something which is very hard for normal players to gain. It requires building a chip stack to get out of the 25/50 tables then either a lot of good play or luck in the higher blinds.

With this 'corruption' in the game, i've seen players get wiped out and back to 2nd in a few hours, now there is no way you can convince me that is through good poker, heh half of them aren't even good at poker, easy to read and they can just bully you.

Another thing is the amount of straights and flushes that appear in this game is ridiculous and almost makes a mockery out of real poker. I play on many other sites for real money and if i limp in with connectors, I rarely hit, and the amount is considerably less than on Gpokr. Why is this? Is the game fair?

I only play here because of the competition, because it's fun. So yes, I refill an awful lot, because of partially bad play and partially bad luck, but oh well and let me play.

Note: I have made money playing real money poker and whether you believe that or not, then that is your choice.

You need to seperate Gpokr from actual poker once you do that I assume you will be more successful. You already know what wins alot and what doesnt.
I also completely agree with you about the farce of the top ranks but it seems we will have to put up with it.

Some stats to help your planning Brocky:

Yes, the "boys loans club" has a lock on the top 5 places. Ignore them.

Multi account players only need to win 25-30k per day (750-900) to reach top 100...or 90k per day (2.7 mill)for top 25....consolidating of course.

Together that takes care of 30-40 of the top 100. That still leaves 60-70 medal spots for those who want to play one account.

3 to 5 of the top 25 get wiped out daily. Theres not much caution out there, so plenty of opportunities.

This is a computer game , with some resemblance to poker and no rules to speak of.It allows a huge variety of goals and strategies.
