On the issue of whether or not account transfers are "cheating"...
I would say it's about different goals. Poker involves multiple challenges, and some may not be interested in all of them... 1. There's the challenge of reading what another player's thinking 2. The challenge of calculating the odds for your hand and everyone else's 3. And there's the challenge that account transfers deal with which is money management and discipline. Many people who play here do so because it's not for real money. This means that they don't need to focus on money management in order to have a good time, and they can create several accounts. This allows them to have several very small monetary "targets" rather than maintain the discipline of not blowing a single account. It's true that this is a departure from "Real" poker, but in many cases it's a good one IMHO. |

at 2:28 AM, Tuesday May 27, 2008 EDT I have indeed read many of those posts Rob, and my impression of Ryan is that he is always interested in various points of view (as opposed to the many accusations I see in those posts).
I am merely pointing out that there is a very legitamate reason behind the "account transfer" mode of play. To the Teflon guy, I suggest that the vast majority of players have no idea how to calculate the odds on a hand of poker... |

If you have pocket Aces, what's the worst hand an opponent could have from your perspective? (quick test on odds for ya) |
