Whilst not wanting to go express my political ideologies on this site, the axiom is irrefutably that we all have disparate opinions in regard to our political persuasions. However, it seems in poor taste to accuse Americans of being inherently racist, leading pioneers in ethnic liberation in recent history (though of course by no means infallible - we are quite a distance from and are yet to experience a utopian society). It seems more a comment of either malice, incitement or most likely jealousy......the latter of which reminds me about a quip an Australian friend of mine made to me a few years ago:

America has Bill Clinton, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Stevie Wonder

Australia has Jon Howard, no cash, no hope and no bloody wonder!

I am British and have good friends from both Australia and USA and find both nations' natives to be customarily decent honest people, so have no bias in regard to this discussion, however I do find generalizations, particularly of a racial or prejudiced nature, to be rather abhorrent.
