You are sitting on the button with pocket aces on a 500/1000 table. No-one raises the big blind until the guy in last position before you. He raises 7000 . He is sitting on 350000 in his stack and you have 150000 in yours. What would you do?
A/ Go all in B/ Reraise by a large amount C/ Call D/ Reraise by the raise. This is based on a hand I had at the end of last month which did not go well. Just interested in your opinions.... |

at 11:32 AM, Tuesday July 1, 2008 EDT I lost all my money on this hand. It was the last day of the month. I reraised. He went all in, I followed. He had QK suited. The flop gave a J, 9 unconnected and out popped a 10 on the river, of course.
I think 'all in' would normally be the right answer, it may well have discouraged him on every other day but he definitely would have followed on this occasion. The only way I could have won anything on this day is to have called then went in heavy on the flop as he only had a possible gut shot straight and nothing else. Reraising, although the outcome was the same, was just plain daft. Same again this month hehe... |
