The following is a rather telling extract from Ryan's blog (creator of Gpokr)

www.gpokr.com is a test of the google web toolkit. It is written completely in java."


I think this explains quite clearly that Ryan has only ever seen Gpokr as a "test" and does not take it seriously in the slightest. I for one am pleased I never actually joined as a member and just handed money over, when it's blindingly obvious that any revenue generated by the site is just a bonus for him, so he'll never bother with the "paying customers" concerns.
