I gave up on Gpokr quite a while ago and let my teenage daughter play on my account. If you have not played on Full Tilt, I would give it a try. No lags, all-inners or potty talk. Just good fun...and guess what...your game will actually improve.

at 10:40 AM, Saturday February 20, 2010 EST Both Cash-Man and I have downloaded Full Tilt and we agree it is an awesome poker site. Loads of excellent poker players there and in the 2 days I have been playing I have not once seen a full house or quads flopped.

at 4:27 PM, Saturday February 20, 2010 EST Take your advertising somewhere else. Everyone knows the different sites and have tried or will try of their own choice. Yes Gpokr can get frustrating but alot of people have made real life friends here and generally get on. So if people want to leave, leave and do it quietly. Pretty simple conclusion wouldnt everyone think?
(BTW I have tried many other sites and yes maybe not as much drama and crappy play but they are nowhere near as social as Gpokr. Good with the bad either way you look at it.) |

As for you Maddie STFU this is NOT an advertisment. Yes we all have good friends here on GPokr so there is nothing wrong with letting them know about Full Tilt. Anyone else want to share their screen name for that site please do maybe we will run across one another there~!!! |

at 11:43 AM, Sunday February 21, 2010 EST I agree that having friendships with your poker is important...that's why every 2 weeks I buy a bottle of wine and a couple six packs of beer and have friends over to play. But Gpokr (and I say this with a bit of nostalgia because I played here a long time) is hitting the skids. Most of the good players have moved on, Ryan has failed on every front to make the changes players have asked for and the dwindling number of participants mean you play with the same folks over and over. Glad you enjoy it, Maddie, but don't get so defensive. I'm not advertising anything and have nothing to gain by my post other than to share my experience, as a lover of the game, with others who might not know.

at 11:48 AM, Sunday February 21, 2010 EST Link---that may be true...I am playing cash games too...You can play for as little as $1 for a tournament. I came in third in a tourney this week and won $145. If you took the money spent on membership and opened an account at Full Tilt, you might actually get something back for the time spent. Just a thought...I'm sure that if there is no money involved, (whether on Gpokr of Full Tilt) people tend to not take it as seriously...

anyhows, im playing on Jokerstars and like the other sites there are many fun freerolls which are password protected.. When you love to google, a password is easily found.. but since there are PKR, PS, FT and even "goodgames poker" players on here, why not tell eachother when a freeroll like that is on and what pass is needed? |

at 8:28 AM, Tuesday February 23, 2010 EST If you want to make REAL friends and play poker then play live poker. When you play live the people you play with have real skin, real hair (mostly), real smiles (sometimes), real words come out of their mouths and you can actually make REAL friends and have REAL conversations!
Full Tilt or any of the other sites are no different than gpokr if you play 'free' chips ~ they're all shit and NO REAL poker is played with 'free chips'. You see poker IS NOT a game of cards, poker is a game of wagering! The cards just create wagering situations! NO MONEY = NO POKER If you think you made REAL friends here, try getting one of them to walk your dog for you or join you for a beer tomorrow. CYBER FRIENDS DON'T COME CLOSE TO REAL FRIENDS!! |
