Automatic Membership Renewal

I joined as a member in Jan 2009. In Jan this year it automatically renewed my membership. I didn?t realize I?d signed up for auto payment. Don?t remember ever seeing this when I signed up. Probably small print chickenshit business practice. Anyway: If you join make sure you unsubscribe on Paypal or you?ll be charged against your wishes next year.
I hate people who do business this underhanded way. Also: I immediately e-mailed Ryan to try to correct the problem and he NEVER got back to me. He just BLEW ME OFF. Again: chickenshit underhanded business practices. I still think you owe me $30 Ryan. |

at 5:50 AM, Saturday March 20, 2010 EDT When you used to sign up for memberships it would never tell you anywhere that the renewal was automatic and you had to cancel through paypal to stop that. Now Ryan has changed the wording on the site here, "yearly" and on the Paypal page to "for each year", which is straightforward enough. However still nowhere does it give you any info on how to unsubscribe. Yes, sneaky and underhanded.

Even the mods. in the end...your still playing gpokr so its not that big a deal for you. There have been players who have quit to find out they were still being billed. i suggest you cancel now and cut your losses |

If the 25k is sitting there for the two months I am sure he wouldve cancelled and refunded. And it has been in the sign ups that it gets renewed every year unless cancelled since I have joined, which has been 18 months now.
