Hello all...:)
I have a question for all the "patriots" out there. I show the Iraq flag instead of my own, (USA) because my sis is deployed over there. I do it for a couple reasons, 1st: I helps me remember her and what she is doing over there, for us and for the Iraq peoples. 2nd: It might spark some conversation that there is a WAR going on, (lest we forget). 3rd: It is my PERSONAL way to honour her. Today is flag day, I have about 2 dozen USA flags around my yard. In this way I honour her also, and I love my country. It was recent comments to me at a table, that flying the Iraq flag does no honour to her. What do you,(my poker friends), think???? I wouls really like to hear fom folks that are in, or, are vetrans of the armed forces. |

As a vet who fought in the first gulf war and spent another 20 years serving after that I think you should just fly the american flag if trying to honor a vet. With that being said God bless your sis for her service and you should be proud of her as I am. I would ask her what she thinks and then make your decision and stand behind it. GOD SPEED |
