I don't know if I'm the only person that gets irritated by people who "reveal" their hold cards before the flop, or during a hand. They're lying 99% of the time, and they usually only want to f*** with you so you lose your concentration. I believe that deception is a form of cheating, whether it works or not.

at 2:32 PM, Tuesday September 7, 2010 EDT At least bluffing is part of poker... when done correctly. Repeatedly going ai preflop isnt bluffing...it's trying to bully someone into folding, and it get you nowhere, except Hell. If a person goes ai with 2 7 preflop then they are a moron and deserve to lose, and usually DO lose.I'm talking about straight up lying. If you have to mouthoff and lie to win...or wear dark glasses so ppl cant see ur eyes, etc to win, then ur no poker player,

at 4:09 PM, Wednesday September 8, 2010 EDT Bluffing is a part of poker..period. Whether done correctly or not it's a bluff. As for the rest, your missing the point I think. In poker your main goal is to be the guy or gal with chips in that has the best % to win the pot. So, if some douche bag wants to keep going all in with crap hands, then that's what you want, esp. if you've got the better hand. Why wouldn't you want that? Sure they suckout, river ya, every once in a while. It is after all GAMBLING, taking a chance. But in the long run, the more solid player will dominate those that just want to move chips around. As far as telling your hole cards, I believe it's against the rules in just about any formal event, but how formal is this? Poor play and manners yes
