The recent thread on Zoid's magic trick confirms what we all knew:
- the more successful players don't think that rules apply to them. - Advisors (mods)are powerless, limited to their preferred "behaviour monitor" role Given that site traffic has more than halved since formal rules were introduced, you have to ask, why bother having them?? I much preferred Ryan's "fickle finger of fate", where he occasionally stepped in and neutered someone. OK, he hasn't got the time but a couple of anonymous mercenaries could take that job. |

at 2:57 AM, Saturday December 11, 2010 EST I'm worried about site traffic too.The site has improved technically, but tinkering with rules and thresholds hasn't worked.
Biggest Gpokr fails: - IP based refill rule - Increasing thresholds (my fav table was 2000-40000) Surely, if traffic is declining, the thresholds should be reduced. |
