Any thoughts on the online gambling for $ inictments that happened today. Are people with accounts out of luck and will lose their money?

No need to panic for European players. (unless you are using a US bank)

Otherwise, US players will have a lot of trouble withdrawing their cash, as well as not being able to register to PokerStars at all.

However they can still register to FullTiltPoker and AbsolutePokeri believe.

Moreover, these are the 3 biggest poker sites in the world, and will most likely have been prepared for this, to the point where they will challenge whatever penalty and have it overturned.

What caused the FBI to get involved now?

What's happening to all the US money?

The FBI indictments will wreak havoc on the US poker playing world and will affect poker globally.

The US players contribute a huge amount of money to the poker world. Many of the big live televised tournaments will cease along with high stakes televised games because much of the funding comes from the big US poker sites.

Many honest US grinders will now be out of a job, US players will have difficulty getting their cash out of their poker accounts and problems finding a legal online game.

The USA has shown huge incompetence in the way it has dealt with this. A sad day for poker!

Online poker has always been outlawed in the US. I do believe it's the same if a US Bank accept's a check from one of the site's also.
