Awayers in tourneys is one thing

So many times especially in the freerolls people join and sit out. Can become very annoying when sometimes they make final table and gpokr gives them the winning hands when they are all in.
Very hot subject on this site but we all know Ryan will not do anything about this. But I certainly do not think someone should join a tourney and sit away and continue to play at tables. This happened in members today with a player who while away was playing 20k tables. Either tourney or tables. Anyone agree?

yes it is a trend that has begun this month more noticeably. Several people have said they sit out until it gets down to a few or final tables or 1000 which ever one comes first. To me this is the same as cheating as you only risk the blinds. If you enter a tourney you should play it not at the tables it is the same as playing two acts at the same time which is against the rules

Well I cant label it cheating but i do think when someone has 10 mill and joins members and sits out whole tourney certainly is bad sportsmanship and just out right greedy.

Tournaments that we pay for I can understand there is nothing Ryan can do about it because we the players pay,but Freerolls?Hes paying us so if you dont play,I can see after so many hands of not playing you should get booted from the tourny.

How is your strategy different from an awayer: you also fold to any raise, make the final table being passive and flop the nuts when all in.

hahahaha

i think you should have a minimum of 5 hands, if not played ie sitting away you should be booted from the table full stop.

fair enough if it is a paid for tourney they can do what they want. In a freeroll any away player could be made to pay big-small blind each hand ,this will almost guarantee they will not make final table, hence the trend will stop and maybe leave places open for people who actually want to compete
