Learn the basics of tournament play and you just might find yourself winning more frequently than you find yourself complaining.

savvi's call made no sense and he just got lucky. But instead of dwelling on your bad luck focus on what you did wrong in the hand. With an 8bb stack you have to play push/fold preflop. Which means your only logical options preflop are going all-in or folding. This appears as bingo play to amateurs but this is the standard strategy among anyone who has studied poker.

Your limp makes no sense as you give the BB a free look at the flop with any two cards. After it folds to you on the button it's likely A9o is the best hand so there is no reason not go with it. 7 handed with only 8 BBs and the blinds doubling every 10 minutes you don't have the luxury of waiting for good spots.
