Ok I know people say tourneys are great (a risk vs. reward thing) but I just don't see how you can make it to top 3 just playing tourneys? And leon6854 is a total mystery? Does this guy play like 10 tourneys a day? I've never seen him at the regular tables. Anyway, I can only play like one tourney a day (usually at night) because of the time commitment. I usually jump on to a regular table when there is action because I might have to jump off. Would be so much more fun if folks would play higher regular tables like the good old days!

at 1:41 PM, Tuesday January 30, 2024 EST You can blame myself and pattie cakes for only playing tourneys. We found we could medal without playing tables and when other players checked our stats they wanted to know how we got so many chips with 0 hands, then others followed. As for leon the tourneys he plays he usally wins or gets second. FYI he too used to play tables until he figured out tourneys were enough. Some people come on like myself to play only tourneys but at end of month play tables if i feel like it.

at 6:50 PM, Tuesday January 30, 2024 EST So interesting thanks for sharing. I'm just amazed that players like Leon can get to the millions just playing tourneys. I guess you have to play a lot of them and place well each time but the math doesn't seem to add up for me???

at 9:52 AM, Thursday February 1, 2024 EST I've hit numerous top 25s only playing tourneys. However, I would think to make top 3 just doing it you'd having to be winning the big buy in tourneys at a very impressive clip. Especially the final day ones.

at 3:41 PM, Friday February 2, 2024 EST Ok thanks Generalc. So as I suspected it take a HUGE time commitment if you go the tourney-only approach. I'll keep this in mind for when I retire (my wife will be SOOOO happy to see me on my laptop for 8 hours a day!)
