at 7:21 PM, Monday January 1, 2007 EST I really like the race for the top 100 near the end of every month. If you decided not to reset, I would probably play gpokr a lot less.

at 7:30 PM, Monday January 1, 2007 EST I like being reset over the month and slowly working your way back, then that rush at the end of the month.
What would be nice is some kind of parallel points system for the sit and goes. I like playing them more but it is hard to get others to play when they are so determined to accumulate chips. |

at 7:36 PM, Monday January 1, 2007 EST For my part, I COMPLETELY disapprove this idea, Ryan..
I will rather prefer exactly the opposite, i.e. less long-term implication on the site for those who want it. The ranking could be rather put on the sitngo section, which would be surely more adapted for such a true long-term ranking, maybe with the same principle as in kdice. The ring tables would remain only for the fun or for specific and short competitions. PS: good move on the 'one day more' (just should have been informed a little b4). Just check the reset process will not mess our graphs one month again (the first day of the month should not appear..) ;) |

at 11:14 PM, Monday January 1, 2007 EST I also think part of what makes gpokr cool is the contest element. So my first feeling is I would not like it.
If you do decide to keep a running total it could be reported separately right? |

at 4:21 AM, Tuesday January 2, 2007 EST Well, as a very green player, I would really like to experience "even" start for everybody just this one month. :) Then you can drop the reset rule ;P.

at 9:28 AM, Tuesday January 2, 2007 EST I like the reset every month. It adds a touch of challenge in the game. If you didn't reset then it wud be no fun playin against those ppl who have 7 million in one month.

at 11:18 AM, Tuesday January 2, 2007 EST I don't think I would play as much without the chip reset. It'll take away the element of compitition. Because if you fall behind too much, there is a chance to be on top the next month. Otherwise give up and not play. Keep the monthly chip reset please.

at 12:05 PM, Tuesday January 2, 2007 EST I love the reset. It's why I play. I don't see a point to accumulating billions in fake money...
maybe a cumulative total winnings stat? |
