You never know what the flop will be,
If someone holds ACE+ACE and you hold 2+3
The flop can always switch the odds.

That's why AA demands a pre flop raise, as do all premium hands in most cases.

If you always see the flop then you end up pay 50$ to the pot every hand. That is somewhat expensive.
