yer wud be good, but so as not to effect rankings i think the money won at player created tables should not be saved when they quit the table

problem with "private" tables is that one person could create a bunch of dummy accounts and keep transferring money between them.

I agree with Swuster, this would encourage cheating.

Cheating is already happening. I see 5 accounts name shill01 through shill05 that have 5 of the top 20 refills

he's not making money out of that seeing that he is on top of the refill list. shill plays his accounts amongst us.

This idea would create excessive collaboration and increase the amount of time you have to wait for your table to fill up.

private tables are a good idea but shouldnt affect rankings so people couldnt cheat

I'd like to see table creation being available to everyone, with an option to make the table private (invite only, passwort-protection, etc.). As for cheating at private tables I think there are lots of ways to prevent cheating:

1. the money you win / loose at private tables doesn't affect your rating (maybe even stored in a separate "private money database")
2. every player gets an amount of X when he joins the private table (e.g. 1000 bucks). and when he leaves the table, he looses all the money gained at the private table. that way the money stays at the table and the ratings will not be affected.
3. use cookies ir ip-check to allow only one login/ip

I don't know which is the easiest alternative, but I'd really like to start some private tournaments with my friends, just for the fun of it. And I don't really care if my private table money and stats are saved. Please make it possible Ryan ;)
