Ryan,
Can you explain to me how you chose the individuals as "Moderators?" Also what are their responsibilities? As someone who has played here for about as long as the site has existed I find it hard to understand why some of these individuals have been given this responsibility. You made an "adjustment" to medals that people had won a few months ago because they "cheated." Whether what they did was cheating or not, you deemed it to be or you wouldn't have taken away the medals. However, at least one of the individuals that were appointed moderator are guilty of that offense (by their own admission). That does not make them a "bad" person, but does question whether they should be in charge of judging someone else. The qualifications should not be how nice they can "seem." Someone above reproach should have this honor, for example TLP comes to mind. Allowing the "children to run the candy store" is not the answer. |

First Country Girl, if someone was wondering who I was writing about you have removed all doubt. I was not attacking you as you seem to think. If you read things objectively you would have understood these were questions and observations not attacks and thats why names were not mentioned. I said nothing that has not happened. Secondly, JulesDogg I appreciate your response. It not only answered the questions asked it provided some further understanding. You may not have liked my analogy however, from my point of view it was on track. Again thank you for your very precise and pointed answers. Fat.Cat you comment is probably more on point than you may know for some people. WasaGunda, I am not TLP (as TLP has already informed you). I used TLP as an example because I have played with her for a while now and have never found her offensive or abusive. There are several other players that I could suggest and more than several that I would not. Personally, I find it easier to change tables, mute someone or just leave the site. If someone wants to degrade themself by using poor language or being rude to someone the best way to get a message across is to leave them at a table by themself or ignore them. TLP I am sorry to have brought you into this, my sincere apology. Devil, thank you for your support. Nutzkiller thank you for letting everyone know that I am not TLP. Finally, Ryan, I respect your choices to some degree. I am not sure who you have appointed as moderators. I just hope that those that are do not misuse the responsibility. To further clear up the matter, I am in no way interested in the position. I was just asking questions and voicing my opinion as others have done. |
