1st~Loaning chips~How can a player who is serious with this game even consider a loan? There has got to be a greater satisfaction of getting a medal knowing you started with 1500 in chips and built it up w/o any help! And, please don't get upset with me, because some of my very best friends receive and give loans and has even "given" me chips! Likewise, I have given away almost all I win! But the bottom line is~the satisfaction and glory should come from knowing you earned each and every chip!
2nd~Moderator~Ryan chose who he wanted as moderators! It is not about power or not liking someone and therefore muting them. It's about having a fun place to come play poker and visit with some of the most wonderful people in this entire world! Sorry, if you diagree. :) |

If any moderator performs poorly then let Ryan know and I'm sure he will get around to dealing with it, especially if there are a large number of complaints about any one individual. Other than that, lets just see how this moderator thing works out over the next few months. |

I am talking about what I just saw today and so you say she appologized but there is the problem... It is still happening. You know where I stand. The moderator should set examples and not be so gun-ho to go after ppl like I saw last night when she got upset someone was using her picture and coping her name some. That is something that is not going to stop and I told her that. If you don't want someone to use your picture then don't post it. In a way it is a complement to have someone mimic you. I will say it again CG I have nothing against you but you have to think about what you are doing and what the fallout is for doing it.

And i certainly don't agree with u devil. I can fully understand why people want loans...It means u don't have to play for even a single second at the all in tables. This site is soley for the purpose of having fun. If u enjoy giving loans or receiving them go ahead...I see no problem. Besides u'll see that the large majority of those who ask for them don't go anywhere anyways...but if they do good for them :)

Its about moderators doing the stuff they are suppose to stop other ppl from doing. I don't understand how you can be a moderator if you do what you are trying to stop others from doing. I think loans are bad for the game and if you need one, well that is because you just can't play good. Like I said I don't see how you are going to stop ppl from doing it.

This site really took a nose dive in 'cheating' and civility while Ryan focused on kdice and gpokr got real busy. It's on the upswing but still far from the good ol' days. I do think the mods are going to help. I think it's the closest were going to get to democratizing the process of keeping this site a fun place to be. Personally, I'm still wishing I had the power to put 'asshole' flags on people, but I digress. CG is still relatively new. Lots of people take loans when they start out before they lock into the culture here. I think she gets it now, and aside from excessive punctuation we can all cut her a break. You're 100% correct, of course. Welcome back! |
