No Dari- I don't need to come over to understand the pain. I lived it. FYI- I did one tour in Iraq fresh out of high school in 2004 as Marine infantry, but that is none of anyone's business. And for all the folks pointing the finger, when was the last time you helped a homeless war veteran begging at a traffic light? now all of a sudden people want to be patriotic. First of all thank you for willingly removing the name. I like Da Ri did not find cute nor funny. But, to each their own. I have now cancelled my membership and will not return to the site again to play. I may return on occasion,just to say hello to the amazing people I have met here,and I will forever be grateful for their friendships. Going to miss so many, I can't begin to name them all knowing I would fail to mention some. I trust you all know who you are!!! Good luck & Bama hugsss!!!

Pain or grief doesn't get better by the pain of others. And pretending to be a patriotic guy doesn't give anybody the right to minimize the pain of other people.

just to set the record straight, when this player had the isis flag up, i talked to him and asked him to remove it and he did right away. I have played w/ this guy w/ an alt acct to make sure nothing was happening w/ him. I think you all judged a book by its cover before getting to know the player. It is obvious to him now that what was meant to be joke , turned out wrong. This player has never broke any rules on gpokr, why i never removed him. Da ri, i learned of your issues w/ him thru bama on a social media page for everyone in the world to see, instead of a private message...i explained to her that he hasnt broken the rules, so i couldnt do anything. Then i go to the table you are playing at to try to talk to you, only to be ignored by you. I respect you and bamas wishes, but i was shocked that neither one of you talked to me about it, just put your comments in w/out listening to me.

So I guess my name will be next on the HATE list.... I do not condone or like his name but here in America he can chose whatever name he wishes.

Dari I respect your feelings on this issue and how upsetting it may be for you or any other player. Brown also have been a friend of mine for years. Yes at times his humour can be a little of handed to some but he is a decent guy. As I am a dummy and lack understanding of the name he has used I find myself in a situation of supporting both of you. But I dont want to see you leaving gpokr, you always brighten my day if I am down and out when I see you at tables. Take a break and return to us. xoxox

I have apologized to gnice for posting this issue to public media, it was done that way by mistake. The person in question has never been rude or disrespectful to me in any way. However, I do agree that the name is in poor taste considering recent events. I also understand that no rules were broken and respect the fact that no action could be taken. I was only trying to help out a fellow player who I happen to agree with. My apologies to all involved.

ty bama for understanding...the rules page is very vague and for 2 years i said it needs to be changed and updated...maybe this will put a spark into ryan and we can have a discussion about what players would like to see in the rules pages...then we can present to ryan...the mods on this site do their best to try to please everyone, but with the vague rules, sometimes it is very hard to make both parties happy
