at 11:03 PM, Monday July 14, 2008 EDT YOUR ODDS ARE BASED OVER THE WHOLE COMMUNITY SUCH AS AN ALL IN WHERE 5 CARDS JUST FALL STR8 BUT HANDS LIKE A K MAKING IT TO THE FLOP AND HITING A ACE NOT LETTING YOUR OPPONENT DRAW OFF YOU CHEAP CUS YES 8 9 HAS 4 STRAIGHT POSSIBLES AND FLUSH POTENTIAL BUT LOWER CARDS ALL AND ALL I THINK PREFLOP AND ON THE FLOP HANDS LIKE AK KJ 55 ARE BETTER AND 89 SUITED IS BETTER OVER A WHOLE COMMUNITY MIDDLE SUITED CONNECTORS ARE REALLY GOOD TO PLAY IN A MULTI PLAYER POT AND OFTEN ARE THE HIGH POCKET PAIR BREAKERS BUT AK IS BIG SLICK AND IS A GOOD HAND TOO REGAURDLESS THESE ALL CAN BE GOOD HANDS DEPENDING ON THE TEXTURE OF FLOPS AND THUS PLAYS DONE DUE TO CERTAIN SITUATIONS OCCURING POST FLOP , FLOP AND THEREAFTER TO PREVENT DRAWS FROM CRUSHING YOUR HIGH PAIR EVERY SITUATION IN POKER HAS ITS OWN WAY IT SHOULD BE DEALT WITH. BUT SOMETIMES WE WILL LET OUR FEELINGS, EMOTIONS, EGOS OR VENDETAS/REVENGFUL THOUGHTS GET IN THE WAY OF A FOCUSED HEAD AND PERFECT PLAY I KNOW THIS 1ST HAND CUS THERE WILL BE TIMES YOU HAVE 55 AND HIT TRIPS BUT THE FLUSH DRAW IS COMPLETED TOO AND YOU JUST KNOW YOUR OPPONENT HAS YOU BEAT BY OBSERVING HIS PREVIOUS PLAYS. POKER IS A SITUATIONAL GAME OF INCOMPLETE INFORMATION AND THE MORE INFORMATION YOU HAVE BEFORE YOU ACT THE BETTER OFF YOU ARE.

at 3:12 AM, Sunday December 21, 2008 EST didnt see the answer before i posted....man im good :D
just think about it, if 55 is slight favour to 2 overcards its quite dominated by 5 overcards KJ only has the 3 Js remaining and the small chances of str8 and the 4 card spade flush. AK has 2Ks 3 Aces and small flush and str8 chances. 89 isnt held back by any of those hands. makes it flush and str8 dangerous (just one J that could lead to a possible str8 is out) and it has the full potential of its overcards (6 outs) i still would be surprised if those hands would meet in an all in preflop. 89 is hard to call because you dont know if the 55 isnt JJ or higher (would just need pocket 10s to take the lead in that pot) but hey...its gpokr so it might be better to ask for 4 way weaker hands like Q3, K2, 85suited and 44 :P makes me proud i figured it out ;) nice quiz, hope to see more of it jules |
