if u make a small amount, and they call with even the 3of diamonds n another diamond appears your screwed.. a big bet will make them think that uv got 2diamonds or at least a higher one than them! how eva if they have the Diamonds.. Your screwed :P |

Odds are he has a high card in the hole or even a pair or he wouldn't have seen your bet. The small raise will serve to draw him out and you can still make a substantial bet on subsequent draws. |
