at 6:36 PM, Friday May 9, 2008 EDT There's absolutely nothing wrong with loaning. This is a social site. Since it tends to be difficult to enjoy a good game of poker at the lower tables, many people give loans so friends can play up a table. There's also some great members on this site who give their money away regularly.
These activities were very common when the site first started up. It's near impossible to tell a loan apart from a win anyway. It's not worth getting all bent out of shape about it. Play the game the way you enjoy it. 25K is a nice incentive for membership that brings Ryan revenue which, we hope, helps him improve the site. It's not dishonest. It's stated right out in the open that it's a benefit of membership. |
