I agree with Bighall's comment. This site is the MOST FUN I've ever had on the internet...even more fun than watching Americans squirm at the thought of electing a black president.

The influence the US has over the rest of the world is reducing through failed and humiliating military failures and economically the rise of Asia (particularly China and India) has eroded its significance. Still though its influence is tangible and therefore its only natural that the rest of the world has a real interest in who will be that countries next president. So Rob S in response to your 11.41 comment, if the rest of the world are lining up against McCain then its probably because they are sick and tired of the imperialistic conservatism of the Bush years and are nervous it will be repeated. In Australia there is a frozen foods company called McCains and their slogan is "Oh McCain you did it again"...sorta rings true hey!
I really like Obama I think he's a once in a lifetime politician. I initially thought he was to good to be true but after reading one of his books I'm embracing Obamamania.

Oh and yeah I love gpokr to!

At least Obama went to class unlike George Bush who clearly has never opened a book or ventured into school. How such stupidity has been in charge of a country for 8 years is unbeleivable.

Rob ?

you said the fact that most foreigners are for obama (or against mc.cain, i forget), is a good reason for us americans to vote for mc.cain
but ... you also said that if you were from another country you'd probably agree with them, and that they
should be afraid to have him elected

do you think america got to be the country we are without friends (allies, if you will) ?
do you think what is good for america is bad for romania?
do you think if our gdp goes up, every other countries goes down ?

of course you don't ... these 3 things are stupid ideas

"afraid" ??!?
we're not at war with everybody in the world, not even with every country.

i hope, whomever is elected ... that the citizens of our allies have no reason to be afraid of who our president is

don't you also want our friends to be at ease with our power, rob ?

Here, here gummo great post...one thing though I don't think you need to be to concerned about what effect the US's gdp going up will have on the rest of the world (at least not for the foreseeable future anyway). You can thank President Bush and his cronies for eliminating that one for you :-)
