After 2 years of playing at gpokr, I am finally going to go cold turkey and leave this site. And here are just some of the reasons why.
I seriously believe the mods that are on gpokr on a regular basis do not do their jobs like they used to. And that is all I said tlp and I was biting my tongue about a comment about KKM, oh and about the babysitting comment. Rest I said I was biting my tongue.Wow some players who are self confessed cheaters dont have anything done. (http://www.gpokr.com/discussion/topics/44802148 ) and yet others gets banned or chips removed. One particular player AAmike can play with mods at one table while playing his other account at an other. Are you guys really that thick? Arent the mods meant to be modding the rules of Ryans website and rules? Maybe a revision is due? Transferring money between accounts is not allowed Play only one account at a time Loaning money is not allowed Alot of people are picking up on this. Irish Rover was right, mods should be rotated. Then we have one particular mod who thinks instead of doing her job thinks she should babysit instead? You are meant to be modding not babysitting and doing your job. Yes KKM I am talking about you. Your poor modding skills go right back to when all that shit was going on between who is now my dearest friend kruzzin and I. (So it isnt just recent) It isnt all about making friends or making friends and using them for what you can and then backstabbing them the next day. Want to do that resign as a mod ffs. Because of you, people have left or you have caused problems in certain players relationships. Not a good example to the community. And yes if you all think i have a personal grudge and dislike against this person, I DO!!!!!!!!!!! She had a loss in her life (if it was even real) and I stood by her and sat up with her online night after night after night while she informed me all her friends werent there for her and introduced her to some of my gpokr friends. Then proceeded to backstab me like she did with her friends previous. Then tried to play the innocent and lied when I gave her every opportunity to explain. Look in the dictionary on what friendship is. So anyone who is a friend of hers, watch your back. And yea you have bought the real nastiness out of me. I had this planned for a very long time but now cause tlp approached me for being a backstabber and being one for causing the unfriendliness on this site, fuck membership. LOLOLOLOL (As I said one standard for the community but another for mods?) I was going to post some conversations that would be real entertaining for gpokr with the consent of our good chemmy but for now I have chosen not to. For now. (ps. Stop making out you are still friends with him KKM cause he is so over you after what you did and yes I am not the only one who knows) Anyway to all the good people on gpokr who are who they are and arent fake and pretend to be someone they are not I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully gpokr will improve. I have contact off gpokr with most that matter, any that I dont post something on which ever account is on your friendslist and we shall make contact of this shitting site. |

at 4:56 PM, Sunday December 12, 2010 EST Although it really pains me to hear you agree with me ,and i mean really pains--i have advocated a moderator change for years--mainly because of one particular mod(annap)and her total unqualified position as a mod,and more recently TLP and her need to step aside for a while after being stuck for so long,
But as genuine moderators are concerned ,namely mystery man and kellykellymoore(who i personally respect)--they have been more than fair,but maybe a change would be good too--- Now the news that you will not be cunniving,and posting other peoples chat is a welcome one,you together with mainly 2 others, have been the cancer of this site for way too long--your involvement in shitstirring against kkm is a testamony to unloved old woman you really are-- i along with many other players are delighted to see the back of you diana, i hope you stay away from this great poker site and eventually wither away |

I have only been here for slightly less than a year and have enjoyed the site a lot. I have made many freinds and hopefully not many enemies. I stand behind Maddie and No one love oj...for any comment she made because i saw it and it wasnt mean or bad,just factual for her. I didn;t think it was right of TLP to come to a tbl and critizie anyone for what some one said. I feel if any mod had a problem with the very short conversation it should have been taken up in a confidenditial matter...not with all to see.
Maddie you are a very good player with great wit and I have had very much fun with you....:)I personally am standing by your side...*)Please come back and if you don't i just might leave also,......zynga poker is fun to. I won't renew my membership for sure....maybe they do need to do a rotation of moderators.... btw....i wish they had spell check...:) |

I come to gpokr to relax, chat and have fun whilst enjoying the great though often frustrating game of poker. Many moons ago I was approached and asked to be an Advisor and in effort to help the community I acccepted. Oh, hindsight is a wonderul thing and had I realised I would have to deal with –school ground fighting -he said, she said childishness -take bs from all walks of the community and the serial harrassers then I would have run a mile. As Rob says there are many posts recently saying mods are not doing their ‘job’. I was told of the conversation by Maddie and OJ and yes, I was irritated that this kind of thing was AGAIN being said so went to the table and spoke to them about it. True, they are entitled to their opinion but I am also entitled to ‘defend’ on that! (Steeler Mom -the conversation was in open table so I am also entitled to reply in open table.) I don’t know what any of you think the Advisor ‘job’ is, but we are limited in what we can do. We have been asked by Ryan to issue warnings in the first instance and endeavour to take a ‘softly’ approach before taking any actions. IP bans, zero chips, etc can only be dealt with by Ryan. For me personally the biggest issues by far are the upholding of the General Rules trying to ensure there is no harassment or serious abuse to the good people that play here. It is often hard and can take time to filter the true troublemakers from those that have just had a single bad reaction, those that try to stir others then report them as the problem (as Brandinho recently) but hopefully eventually we can deal with the right person on these matters. Also if people are having technical problems within the game I try to help with advice on actions to clear cache etc, if necessary posting to Ryan on the Advisor only forum. For the rest, and as I personally can do nothing about it, who in all honesty, does it hurt if someone is playing 2 tables? Ryan himself has said he is not sure where this rule came from but has never changed the rules page, hence I personally take no action nor bother to report it. Tranferring –if a person wins on one account and wants his medals all on another who in reality does it hurt? Small loans –who does it hurt? Just my own personal reflections. For every action that is or isn’t taken in each case there will be someone who thinks it has been handled incorrectly. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. A thankless task. We are not the police and it isn’t for us to step into ‘squabbles’ between individuals. Proof this is the correct stance? - after fighting for months and months, each complaining endlessly to different Advisors about the other -Maddie and Kruzzin are now ‘best of friends’. Also PC and Kruzzin had a difficult start to their friendship I believe, which is now all sorted. So, Advisors were correct to let things take their own course it seems, alls well that ends well. And yes Maddie, at times I have reacted angrily to a bad beat, ask Darwin he has probably been on the end more than most!, but the reaction is fleeting and I am learning to curb this flaw in my character. (Before anyone comments, yes, I do still slip now and then! Still working on it! LoL) I will say that such as my faults as a human being are and we all have them, NEVER EVER would I even have contemplated, let alone written and posted such a malicious and nasty attempt at character assaination such as you have originally posted here Maddie, and to admit that it was ‘planned’ for a long time….. well it speaks more about your ‘character’ than anything you post about your victim. To finish, if the good people of this community prefer that I step down as an Advisor I am happy to do so, be assured my life will not suffer as a result! My poker may even improve as I will not be dragged into the pettiness that is abounding lately. |

People will believe what they want and others enjoy drama and personal attacks. I refuse to stoop down to that level. Think what you want, the people who matter know the truth, and I'm ok with that. I will, however, speak to the moderator issue. I sat here trying to think of one single time that I either ignored or refused anyone who ever asked me for assistance. I could not think of one time that I didn't go to a table when asked, or help with log in issues, or defused an argument. I do this job the way Ryan has dictated it to be done, and those who have needed help have surely gotten it. That said, there will always be those who dislike any type of "authority" or someone who they think has some type of power over them. The majority of people who complain abput moderators are those who either have been moderated or need to be. If I am human, and not a computer robot, I will not apologize for that. I am just a regular person, with a family, and a job, and I offered to help out here when I can. If you don't like the way I moderate, please go to a different moderator, or email Ryan. I challenge any of you to show where I have not done everything I can to help when you have asked. I will not post here again, whether it's about personal issues or anything else. Say what you want. In the end it's all just random typing on a free poker site by people who don't really know me. Have at it. If you have any moderator issues, please feel free to contact me.
