After 2 years of playing at gpokr, I am finally going to go cold turkey and leave this site. And here are just some of the reasons why.
I seriously believe the mods that are on gpokr on a regular basis do not do their jobs like they used to. And that is all I said tlp and I was biting my tongue about a comment about KKM, oh and about the babysitting comment. Rest I said I was biting my tongue.Wow some players who are self confessed cheaters dont have anything done. (http://www.gpokr.com/discussion/topics/44802148 ) and yet others gets banned or chips removed. One particular player AAmike can play with mods at one table while playing his other account at an other. Are you guys really that thick? Arent the mods meant to be modding the rules of Ryans website and rules? Maybe a revision is due? Transferring money between accounts is not allowed Play only one account at a time Loaning money is not allowed Alot of people are picking up on this. Irish Rover was right, mods should be rotated. Then we have one particular mod who thinks instead of doing her job thinks she should babysit instead? You are meant to be modding not babysitting and doing your job. Yes KKM I am talking about you. Your poor modding skills go right back to when all that shit was going on between who is now my dearest friend kruzzin and I. (So it isnt just recent) It isnt all about making friends or making friends and using them for what you can and then backstabbing them the next day. Want to do that resign as a mod ffs. Because of you, people have left or you have caused problems in certain players relationships. Not a good example to the community. And yes if you all think i have a personal grudge and dislike against this person, I DO!!!!!!!!!!! She had a loss in her life (if it was even real) and I stood by her and sat up with her online night after night after night while she informed me all her friends werent there for her and introduced her to some of my gpokr friends. Then proceeded to backstab me like she did with her friends previous. Then tried to play the innocent and lied when I gave her every opportunity to explain. Look in the dictionary on what friendship is. So anyone who is a friend of hers, watch your back. And yea you have bought the real nastiness out of me. I was going to post some conversations that would be real entertaining for gpokr with the consent of our good chemmy but for now I have chosen not to. For now. (ps. Stop making out you are still friends with him KKM cause he is so over you after what you did and yes I am not the only one who knows) Anyway to all the good people on gpokr who are who they are and arent fake and pretend to be someone they are not I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully gpokr will improve. I have contact off gpokr with most that matter, any that I dont post something on which ever account is on your friendslist and we shall make contact of this shitting site. |

Gpokr, as well as life in general, would all be more pleasant if people would be tolerant and mind their own busyness a bit more, and especially not portray a bitter mindset or personal vendetta’s for the whole world to see; it is all just very ugly. But having said that, if you really can’t resist, don’t come crying to mummy for help when it is all getting a bit too much. Don’t blame them (the mods) for the mess you yourself have helped to create. I myself have never been harassed in almost 2 years of play here, and I can thus only conclude that much of the soap must be the result of provocative comments or interference with other people’s conversations (and we’ve all seen so many examples of that). Personally, I find it all very amusing, so please continue and thanks Maddy, for throwing your diarrhea into the fan, hahaha, amazing, talking about Munchausen syndrome. Then about gpokr rules: As a general principle, rules that cannot be enforced are mostly useless. In this case, if players really want to transfer chips or loan/donate, there is nothing you can do, because sincere big bluff bets followed by reraises and folds can never be distinguished from transferring (see for instance the astonishing footage of nr1 poker player Phil Ivey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Qap3VT_ZY). Now, tell me was he transferring chips here, or did he just play brilliantly?). And what is so wrong about playing one account and then decide to medal on the other anyway? The same player with the same skills won all the chips. And why is it always the poor players that make these complaints (excluding John27, the King of noobs). The whole medaling busyness is an indication of quality not an absolute measure: some play 500 hands to medal, others 10.000. So please just thank KKM and TLP for their contribution, ffs, you ungrateful sons of bitches. You can believe that banning someone is not what we want to do! We want this to be a fun-loving site. The majority of the time it is! However, people take and have taken this site too personally. You share your personal information and when it turns ugly, it is all over the forum and at the tables. It is a online game. How many times has ANY one of you been attacked by someone? How many times has someone passed you on the leader board for a medal and proof that they did not do it fairly? Exactly. That is why we are here. I have no intention of stepping down...sorry to burst your bubble IR. There are several new advisors. You dont like what the ones that play gpokr, go find one that plays the other 2 sites. We have a advisor forum that we can use if they do not know someone. Masuhujo, you have always been against moderators/advisors....Nothing changes. You are a very angry lil person to continue on your hatred of us. Irish Rover, only proves that you STILLLLLLL cannot let go of the fact that YOOOOOOU are the one that created your banning. I'm thinking there should be a thread of how many times you have called a player a "jammy bastard". How long ago was that seriously?? Get over yourself IR, everyone else has. LET IT GO!!! You bash me all you want, but you know that I warned you many more times than I should have. You still continued it. You still have bashed other Moderators. To all the other players that do not like me or what I do....You have scared off many of the Moderators, but not me. So deal with it!!! |

Because the other mods are rarely on the site these two take the bulk of the work and the worst of the BS. A special thanks to both of them.
As to Mad it will truly be cold turkey as it is hard to quit any addiction and for her to go from 16 hours a day on this site to zero will be difficult. Have fun out there in your REAL WORLD, whatever that is. Yeehah. |

Gotta say tho, this stuff is so private it's actually embarrassing to read. I don't see why you would post stuff like this in the forums when there's obviously nothing constructive about it. Instead of actually trying to end the beef, it seems like your only purpose is to fuel it. But what's the point of bringing people down when you're gonna leave this place anyways? And yes, I know this isn't any of my or any other outsider's business, (which is why it doesnt belong in the forums in the first place) but now that I've read it the only thing I can say is that I've never seen KKM or TLP ignore anyone in need of mod help, they even come over to xsketch sometimes when we need mods over there. And me saying that is not "kissing ass", it's just being real. But do take care Maddie, I personally can't remember you being anything but nice and I do hope you come back one day. 1) Are you a paying member? 2) Have you emailed Ryan to say you'll do it? Clearly this is no way to appoint people to positions of power. As such you will always get those who abuse their positions and enjoy the power trip.....it's part of human nature with some. However, with a certain amount of good fortune, some of the mods on this site are pretty balanced and genuine people and for that I am grateful......grateful to them, not the ignoramus who built this "experiment" of a site. It's a pretty thankless task to be doing unpaid work for someone who has continually shown his disdain for the users of the site. I honestly cannot fathom as to why anyone would pay their hard earned money to him to become a member......for what? I believe if every member cancelled their payment (although I believe this is not so easy), then he might just sit up and take note when the revenue slows up. As for the arguments and politics, I find it bemusing as to how much information people readily offer to complete strangers. You may think you have good friends and that you know people well on this site, but in truth you really don't. There are people here whose company I really enjoy (both mods and users), but in all honesty I know very little about them and nobody here knows anything about me.....why would they? Just enjoy your time here and treat people with the respect you would like them to treat you with. If people do start being offensive or rude, either rise above it and report it to a Mod......or lower yourself to their level and get stuck in, toy with them and belittle them intelligently, these people are normally morons and it doesn't take much to expose them for the fools that they are. Have fun fellow Gpokrites! xx |
