Hi Lynn. When you say "We added", do you mean with Ryan on the boat or did the Advisors discuss themselves and decide it on the Forum?

I ask because i doubt this system. Many people has been waiting for an opportunity to advise, ( Kdice wise ) but doesn't get heard or see any actual changes towards it.

I myself was in the long run for a spot as an Advisor, Jurgen fought hard for me, but Ryan never payed any attention, only comes in doing small changes then *POOF* he disappears again.. That is basically why Im confused and asking.

Sad to say skyler basically its up to the existing mods on gpokr so I take it, it the same on kdice too. So if one mod doesnt like you, consider yourself not in the factor.

Let's play with your thought and say it's true, Insane. It is a good thing that Ryan doesn't have to be a part of it because nothing would ever happen if he had to. But.......

- We only have about 3-4 moderators in Kdice and they are never really online. If they are, it is only for a little talk player to player, playing a few games then leaving again, or just checking the forum. They are not hanging around or doing the job they were originally put in the role to perform in the first place.

They DID do their job, DID hang around checking games for cheaters, WAS online for many hours straight. And fair enough, people does have/get other activities to do and does loose time to mod Kdice as much as they used to.

It's a fact to realize that we need those Advisors who is still active and willing to listen, to create a debate about new upcoming mods, who is actually online and serious about their job. Cause as it is now Kdice has zero Advisors.

TLP, Lynn and you who is still active, please give this a thought.

This has been a major problem here too. As you can see from previous and this posting. Maybe email Ryan yourself and you may have some luck. He does respond at times and in kdices circumstances may act if he finds it necessary. Good luck

I have emailed that man so many times in between my 6 years on kdice, but never got one single response, so i gave up on him returning an answer. That is why I am trying to reach out to the existing Advisors. They seem to be the only persons who can actually turn this problem around.

atm, there isn't really a problem on KDice and Ryan seems to agree that there is no urgent need for new mods on Kdice until there are actually game replays available.

Without game replays, trying to catch cheaters is very inefficient unless you're prepared to spend 10 hours a day watching multiple tables at once. Mods don't get paid so you can't really expect that of a mod anyway. Everyone cuts back on their "mod time" after a while. But cheating reports or other complaints are still being looked into by the current Kdice mods. Sure there could be a few more bans but the community has also repeatedly asked to autopolice themselves for as much as possible. I just step in when I see a clear problem on the higher tables and I try to keep cheating down on the lower tables. That is also Ryan's idea about modding: players who play and handle complaints or enforce the rules on the side. But there should be no overmodding either or people will complain that there is no room for fun anymore.

Anyway this is a pokr thread so I shouldn't comment too much. I don't play pokr often but I must say that I often see TLP, Kelly or another mod online when I log on here. Gpokr mods are also very active in the mod forum, reporting problems or player complaints to Ryan. So maybe I'm a bit biassed as a KDice mod but all I can say is that I think the pokr mods are doing a good (and thankless) job at babysitting this site for free.

I have barely been back for 3 days and I see people are still cheating to an extent that should be spotted and given some lessons. But there is no one to do so. So do not tell me that Kdice don't have problems.

Apparently you are never online enough to see what happens around the tables. And I don't blame you. But do not sit and tell me Kdice is under control cause thats a big fat lie.

I don't doubt that moderators on Gpokr arent doing their job diligently, but I'm talking about Advisors on Kdice. The lack of banning existing cheaters annoys many people to the point where they would like to see some action from.

And people being their own policeofficers around tables isn't doing any good when the same players keep comming back to cheat over and over again.

As we all know people can not be on constantly to moderate. The active mods I know are on as much as they can be. I have submitted a new name to Ryan with no response yet. I do have to say that there are several names of mods who no longer play here and I feel they need to be replaced by people who at least play. Life sure gets in the way of things we would like to be doing....smiles. So I hope a few more people could be added especially in time zones not represented.

The game has changed a lot since you've been gone. If I remember this right it escalated sometime right after you left. I had a big hand in it for a long time and I was far from the only one. Members got poluted to a new level of popularity contest and continues. The player pool stagnated and so has the skill level. By april 2012 most of the players we used to play with were gone.

Taking a break from Kdice for roughly a year and a half I came back last month. You've seen the players around lately. I've seen 0 table players play better than some of the top 25 and that doesn't suprise me considering everyone left. But, the cheating scale is nowhere near what it was, it's changed a lot, I agree but it's a good balance there atm. At least from what I saw last month. If you think there's a lot cheating going on now, it's nothing compared to what it was. Sure there are otf groups in a small scale (some even PGA passivly), the members are still discusting and the proper gameplay is forgoten and sometimes seen as "the wrong way" by the new players. But what more can you expect from a site like being maintained like this?

IMHO, I personally wouldn't mind seeing sky and a few others get the advisor badge, as long as it's not disrupting the balance and the bans are consistant, I'd welcome it. That's fucking impossible without replays or a proper stat guideline from whom players play/ gain pts with.

Jurgen and a few mods are STILL watching, not as much as before but that goes without saying.
props for him for even still being here at this rate.

Oh well TL;DR Gl on modship, but it's honestly not worth it.
